Sime Darby Unimills is one of the most important suppliers of vegetable oils and fats in Europe. The organisation is part of the Sime Darby concern that operates worldwide, with numerous plantations and production facilities. In the refinery in Zwijndrecht the Netherlands, raw vegetable oils and fats are processed to customer-specific semi-manufactured products for manufacturers of human and animal nutrition.

Batenburg IAS and Unimills have a long history together. For many years, Batenburg IAS has been involved in the automation of the refinery in Zwijndrecht. This factory is automated with ABB SattLine and ABB System 800xA. In the past years, Batenburg IAS has worked for Unimills on a large expansion of the tank farm, building an OPC connection between SattLine, 800xA and the higher level MES system and many other adjustments to the application.
