Proud winners
Last Tuesday (4 February), we and Batenburg Techniek won the Techniek Nederland Innovation Award with the Geothermal Heat Vogelaer project. During the Innovation Congress at the VSK trade fair, the project was chosen as the winner by industry peers. JB Systems provided the entire automation system for this project.
Geothermal Heat Vogelaer is an innovative project whereby a number of horticultural companies in the Westland region obtain their heat in a sustainable manner. This is achieved by means of an installation that pumps hot water from a source 2,500 metres under the ground, thus providing the horticultural greenhouses with heat. Cooled water goes back into the ground and can be used again later. This creates a completely closed and sustainable energy system.
